Before your arrival

Here are a few keep points to review before your arrival in Switzerland

Visa / Work permit

IAESTE Switzerland will organize your visa and work permit, which will allow you to do your internship in Switzerland.

Accomodation

Accommodation is organised either by our local committee, the employer or yourself. This depends on the agreement with your employer.

Insurances

It is important that you are adequately insured during your internship in Switzerland, e.g. against illness, accident, theft or accidental damage.

Arrival

Switzerland has three international airports: Basel-Mulhouse, Geneva and Zurich-Kloten. Please check which airport is closest to your place of work. Switzerland is also easily accessible by train, bus or car.Inform us as soon as possible about your arrival dates or any changes in your travel plans. If someone picks you up, please check with them when they will be available. It is also a good idea to have the phone number or email of a contact person in case of an emergency.Looking forward having you here!
